Downsizing Tires

Good Evening everyone,

Just curious as to what size tire you think I should go down to. Would like to save on gas mileage and don’t go off roading too much with my current set up. Running an 02 TJ with a 5.7L hemi. Any advice appreciated!

Start your jeep profile. Stick or auto? Current tire size? Gear ratio? And with those tires was the speedometer gear changed out to give a correct MPH/trip reading?

And a Hemi? What type of gas mileage are you getting right now?

I feel like once you put a HEMI in a TJ you just forget about words like gas and mileage.

What tire size is on there now? How much spring and body lift is on there currently? What is the current axle gearing? What is that axle gearing the most appropriate for with the engine and transmission? What transmission?

What climate as well. I biased a bit to a winter AT for my snowy season driving.

No no, you don't forget the word gas.

Now mileage you can toss out the window.

Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.
