Exhaust

I need further opinions. I need to replace the exhaust on my jeep. I would like to put a Banks Torque Tube Exhaust Manifold along with the Banks Monster Exhaust on my Wrangler. My jeep does have the 4.0 but is it worth all that cash?

its not worth the cash. go get a flowmaster 40 series and get a shop to bend some 2.5" pipe, take your cat out (if your year doesnt have an O2 sensor after it) and in my oppinion it sounds better than a banks. its deeper and throatier. thats the exact setup i have and sounds great i have a 2000 tj 4.0

Loud doesn't necessarily equal more H.P., just more pissed off people. Don't take your cat off if you need to pass any type of smog test.

Taking a cat off is a huge fine, $10,000 if I remember correctly. It isn't worth removing the cat. A flowmaster muffler gives it a good tone without being obnoxious.

I definitely do not want a 10K fine. How much will keeping the CAT on affect the sound?

Jeep Wrangler Cat-Back Exhaust Shootout - Jp Magazine

Also in the video section they have sound clips of all the exhausts they tested. Inside and outside. Pretty cool!
