flowmaster exhaust question

I have a 1997 jeep wrangler sport 4,0 and am thinking about putting a flowmaster muffler on it. It has stock exhaust on it now. Does anyone know what flowmaster muffler would be the right one for this set up? Just looking to get a little better sound out of it

No one can know, because it depends on the sound that you want.

I have a Gibson on mine and I love the tone it puts out. Just a little deep but not obnoxious at all. It isn't quiet but not too load.

Really depends on what you want sound wise. I've heard Flowmaster sounds great but I've heard of drone issues at high speeds as well as they get obnoxious sometimes. Go on YouTube and listen to some sound clips. Magna Flow is pretty great IMO, grumbles when I want it to and quiet otherwise. A pretty popular muffler on here is Thrush, give it a look.

This was my experience. I removed a super 44 because of the drone.
Installed welded thrush for $30, happy as can be.

The "Thrush Welded" has a nice deep tone with no drone. Pretty much a Flowmaster clone. Can't beat the price.

I have a Flowmaster super 44 on my tj and i think it sounds great. It does have a slight drone at around 2k rpm but it goes away quick and at highway speeds you don't hear it at all. I guess you don't hear much when you drive a brick on wheels. I had the thrush on my old tj and it sounded good too. It's all personal preference.
