A good controller is Delta Current Control. I have one in my Mustang with a MarkVIII fan. A lot of people use DCC but Brian's service at times can be slow.

The cheapest place is a wrecking yard off a Saab 900 but they are hard to find. There is a guy selling them on eBay new for like $30. It goes in the radiator hose and the temp switch screws into it. The best controller I've uses is off of the Volvo cars it has a relay pack mounted up by the fan.

There are several routes to go for a controller and lots of threads on different boards (mainly non jeep). My previously mentioned DCC. Flex-A-Lite is a good one also.

The Tarus and other big fans can have a high initial in rush current demand. You want a controller with a "soft" start.

Here is just one thread. Electric fan on fax body.. Opinions needed - Ford Mustang Forums : Corral.net Mustang Forum

I've seen threads indicating the Volvo controller. I don't know if you need more info
