Question Hard Top Removal: Need Help

I just bought a 2003 jeep wrangler back in November, and now that the weather is nice I was ready to take the hard top off. I unscrewed all the torque bolts and disconnected the hinges from above the visor and removed the two small plastic connectors and separated the electrical components from the back. But for some reason I can't for the life of me lift the top off. It won't budge, as if it's been sealed tight! I've watched tons of tutorial videos. Am I missing something? Or is there a trick to removing the hard top that I don't know?

maybe its never been off and the rubber seal is pretty stuck too the body, just like doors that have never been off sometimes are hard to lift out the hinges, mine needed a firm bash at the top off the door opening to get it started when I first took mine off.

There is a foam seal sometimes between the tub and top and it deteriorates and becomes like glue. If you and a buddy each face the back windows and hold where the door goes and have the lift gate open and hold there upwards pressure should free it. Try putting more pressure in front to leverage the front up as there is a space free of the foam as there is a rubber block under the front bolts. The reason I said sometimes in the beginning is because I can't remember if I put the foam there or not I have owned it so long. I don't think I did. But that's how mine gets stuck. Good luck.
