Having 4 Lo problems!
I just Installed a 1.25 inch body lift and a 1 inch mml on my wrangler that has a 2 inch lift. I'm having trouble putting it in 2nd, 4th and reverse. It will go in but It's really tight. In addiction to that I can put it in 4lo but it won't stay there it pops right out when I start moving. Any reason as to why this is happening??

Yup, with that much of a BL you need to extend or adjust the linkage. The BL kit should have come with a piece to extende the linkage if you can't get it adjusted.
If you get under your Jeep you can see the linkage. It is an easy 10mm, IIRC, nut that you losen then slide a rod back and forth to shorten or lenthen the linkage.

The piss poor design of the factory linkage is the problem.
The Novak cable shifter is the answer. Quality product, easy install no more issues.

I thought that the mml was supposed to get rid of that problem and that's why I installed it.

Nope, as far as I know the mml is used to correct drive line angle that may cause vibration. I have a M.O.R.E. mml but that was for use with the belly up kit.

Okay makes sense. The kit came with a metal bracket thing for that purpose but I thought it wasn't necessary with the mml. Thanks for the help!

I did the same back then when I did mine. Once I used if offroad it kept popping out of 4l. Install the bracket and take a little time to adjust it properly. My transfer case shifts incredibly now - much better than when I got the Jeep.

Where does that bracket Install exactly and do I just mess with it until it's back to normal?

The op is talking about not being able to get the transmission into 2nd, 4th, and reverse, and all the answers are refering to the transfercase linkage.
Pull the boot up and see if the shift lever is hitting the body. If it isn't, simply remove the foam cover that surrounds the shift lever (under the boot) and try it again.

I only addressed the transfer case linkage as that's all I had knowledge on. I wasn't going to make suggestions on something I didn't know about, I knew someone on here had the knowledge to address it.

I had the same problems. As far as the 4lo issue I had to flip the little bracket upside down to change the angle enough to move the linkage forward. As far as the trans shifting the same options were given to me of remove the foam, move the console backward, bend the shifter, or install a SYE. When I removed my boat there was no foam so that wasn't a fix. The SYE is about $500 with driveshaft and I just don't have the $$$ for that. I chose to bend my shifter. I took the shifter off, removed the knob, put it in a vise and beat the piss out of it. I did have to bend it two ways, once up to keep it off the bottom and then again at the upper bend back down to get it out of the dash. It was very easy and would be hard to screw it up and it works like it did before I installed the lift. Hope this helps!

I had the same problem with my shifter after I installed my 4" lift. It would not go into 2nd, 4th, 6th, or reverse. My problem was the shifter was hitting on the shift boot and the little trim piece that holds the boot to the consol. After I removed that it would still pop out of 2nd and after some looking it was hitting the plastic piece that covers the shifter hole in the floor. So I ended up just notching it and now no problems. I realize its not the best method but it works until I can do a SYE. Hope this helps the OP.

Also my fuel filler hose is about an inch too short. How did you all deal with that? Did you just loosen the hose on each end and make some room?

Bingo!!
I had to remove the plastic piece that the hose connects to on the rear fender and reach inside to move the bottom of the hose then did the top. PITA too.
On the 4lo issue shift into 4lo inside the cab. ( have someone hold it in place ) With the nut on the adjustment arm loose move the tcase shifter arm firmly into 4lo then slide the adj rod foreward. I had to use a small ball pin hammer to tap the adj rod forward then tighten the nut back down. I put too much on the first time and she wouldn't stay in 2hi so I backed it off a little and its perfect.

For the shifting, the best thing Ive found is to remove the plastic frame thats around the bottom of the shift boot
For the 4lo problem you need to install the drop bracket that should have came with the kit and you'll need to adjust the linkage using the adjustment bolt on the back side of the linkage, close to the floorboard.

When you remove the plastic ring how do you keep the boot on then? Doesn't the ring keep the boot on?

Its what keeps the boot attatched to the console, I removed my ring and just pushed the boot down inside the console.
