Arrow Heater Switch

Hello, I bought my jeep and the heater switch ( fan speed ) was not working, the old owner had just just bypassed it and was using a toggle switch ( on high and off only ) I took the switch out yesterday and descoverd the whole back of the switch is broken and falling apart.

I have bought a new switch on ebay yesterday and my question is......

do you think changing the switch will make it all work again or should I look into buying a new resistor as well ? there are two wires ( both blur that go from the harness to the toggle switch. are these the only two needed to hook up the new switch when I get it ??

also, any diagrams or photos would help

Thanx, prettyboytoys

Melted at all? If so, do a search on google. There are some pretty good forums on this topic. I recently replaced mine and added a relay with help from a very clear easy to understand thread I found in another forum. I deleted it after the repair or I would give it to ya..

Good luck!

Here's a fix that was written up.

https://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/writ...fix-52716.html

It not only fixes the problem of "HI" and "OFF" only, but it seems to address an inherent design flaw to boot.

I plan to do it to my '03 TJ, but I'm waiting for Sping to have sprung here in WI.

Best of luck.
