I bought a Mopar tow hitch off a 02 TJ and found that the wiring connector is different than on my 97 TJ. The 02 has a square 4 wire conenctor and my 97 has a rectangular 6 wire connector (although only 4 are connected).

I have three choices. 1) I need a converter, 2) a 97 wiring harness, or 3) splice in a new connector. I could not find a converter on the internet, is anyone aware of such a item. Or does anyone know the part number for the MOPAR Towbar wiring harness for a 97 Wrangler. Thanks

I would make an adapter with the proper male/female ends and wireing. Essentially a homemade converter. Or just get the proper harness for that year.
