Ignition coil

Hello. I have a 97 TJ with 4 cyl engine and it has electronic ignition. Fist question- I am reading that this year did not come with factory electronic ignition- is that correct? Second problem- my coil is bad and I am not sure if it is an after market coil installed with the after market electronic ignition- the coil says made in Japan and the part number is- 56037866. Can anyone tell me what type coil I have and where I can buy a replacement? Thanks. Joe

The pic you sent looks just like what I have. I guess I do have a OEM coil on the TJ. I was worried that the coil was an after market added with aftermarket electronic ignition. Thanks very much. Do you know if a 97 TJ came with factory electronic ignition instead or did they have points and condenser? Thanks again. Joe
