Jeep slighty lurches on the high end of 3rd and 4th gears

I have a 99 TJ standard transmission 4 cylinder. Last month I started noticing a slight bump or hiccup accelerating from second to third and then third to fourth. After I get up to speed it goes away. It does not idle rough. I bought the jeep last year. I changed all fluids and oils immediately ( gears axles transmission differentiL etc ) who knows how long it had been. The jeep is immaculate and was well taken care of. Not a single leak. Only 87k miles. Well last week I changed the plugs and wires and the cap and the rotor. On a test drive it had more power and the acceleration wasn't bumping. It looked as though the old plugs had NEVER been changed. Yikes!!! So now the symptoms are back. I have put fuel injector cleaner to no avail. I did not change the distributor or cap. Why would the bump go away and then come back? I gapped the plugs to specs. Thanks in advance.
