Led brake light issues

I own a 1997 tj with the 6 cylinder manual transmission, my issue is that I replaced my stock lights with flush mount LEDs, now I have two diodes on each light staying on. I have 3.1V on the brake turn signal wire which I traced it back to the white with brown stripe wire at the turn signal switch to be the source feeding the lights but where and how am I getting that voltage at that wire??

Any help is appreciated
Thanks

Fed back from the ground in the jeep as you always have some parasitic loss.
Clock, radio memory, something like that I am told.

What do you mean by "two diodes staying on?" Are you talking about the led's themselves? I believe the problem you are having is that you have wired into the high center brake light wire instead of the turn signal wires. The high center brake light uses a white/tan wire. Left turn/brake is a dark green/red, right turn/brake is a brown/red, and tail lights are black/yellow.

If this is the issue then how would I go about fixing that? Cleaning up all ground connections? I know when I have my snap on led test light hooked up to power and go to that wire I do get a green led which means ground is present.

Where did you get your ground in the first place? It's not in the factory wiring, as the factory lights are grounded through the body.
Also, did you replace the flasher relay already? With yours being a 97, you can cut the trace on the factory one for it to work correctly and save a few bucks. That's what I did.

Flasher isn't replaced but it is functioning normally, I unplugged it thinking maybe an issue with the flasher but lights stay on.

As for the ground I have a screw holding an led licence plate light going through the body and have my lights grounded on that point there that is cleaned up and have a good ground point there I've tested with my test light and multi meter
