While installing a lift kit, I replaced my very worn bushings. The diff mounted bushing fits fine, but the passenger side is loose and rattles. Is there a fix for this?

Everyone has a welder available... find a local muffler shop and pay $20 for a couple tack welds...

X2. I had mine tacked in three spots. Has held for 2 years now.

guys................tacked is not enough, those better be some big ass tacks. that joint carries 3500# of force on it.
i made my own from the same bar stock, through drilled it with a 3/8 hole and used a 3/8 bolt to squeeze it, then i welded 1.5" of both sides and the bottom edge to the tube.....you couldn't take it off with a wrecking ball.
i'm very sorry guys and not meaning to dog anybody but tacks are not enough here.
if it's only tacked i could whack it with a big hammer distort the cheap OE mount and the force would likely break those tacks.
if your goin to bother to go up under there with a welder, or pay for it, get an 1" down both sides minimum. a 3/4" stitch top and bottom of both sides is even better.

if tacks are fine then my new axle is done and ready for paint....i got all the brackets tacked on.

Yes it is... you misunderstand the issue.... he isn't building a bracket, he just has a loose fit of his pressed in bushing... the tacks just stop the bushing from moving in the hole

Mine rattles as well .does that mean the whole arm needs replacing or can you just do the bushing?

I don't think you understood what the o p has going on.

If you have an issue with the bushings in your control arms then it is generally easier and about the same price to replace the control arms than to replace the bushings in them.

I wound up using JB Weld, let it sit for the full cure time before taking it off the stands. Oddly enough, when I pulled it off this time it was just a little loose. When I originally put it in it was full on slapping around in there.

Jb weld is not a fix... the forces on that joint will crush the jb weld in short order... you need real weld

X2. Thats like using scotch tape to hang a picture.

A welder could tack them easily and probably less than $50 unless you have a buddy with a welder
