Question Loud squeal

I have a loud squeal that is coming from the serpentine belt area. It gets louder as I accelerate but goes away completely after the engine is warm. Any tips or advice out there would greatly be appreciated!

I dunno, it could be the idler pulley, alternator, a/c compressor, or water pump. I'd get a cheap mechanic's stethoscope & place it on each of those items, or at least the ones near where the squeal sounds like it is coming from.

When you have a choice, buy American.

^ I'd do as Jerry says.

I've also always had good luck by just removing the belt and turning each pulley by hand to feel if any other them are sticking or have any resistance to them.

Gatorback belt..... After you do what Jerry said. If it's the belt, Gatorbacks are amazing.

Even easier and cheaper (free) is cupping the handle of a screwdriver works as well, when putting the blade/point to the mentioned parts that Jerry stated.

I had the bearings go out on Alt. on my 2500 Ram this past summer.
