New set of lights

The other day my older brother gave me his pair of kc 100w day lighters that came off his WJ before he traded it in for his current car.

Since I already have the factory fog lights on my front bumper, I'm going to order the windshield mounts and put the day lighters there. I want to order one of the OEM style switches and put it in one of the three open spots in my dash under my climate controls. Does anybody have any tips or suggestions on how the best way to wire the lights from that spot or if it's even possible?

Thanks in advance! I'll definitely post pictures after it's all done.

Are you talking about like this? This is how I run my kc lights. Make sure you use a proper wiring kit with a relay or you will burn the switch out and starve the lights.

That's exactly what I'm talking about, I'll be ordering this switch for the set up.

What gauge wire did you/should I use that would be sufficient for the lights?

Battery to fuse to relay to lights 14 gauge would be sufficient, and switch to relay to ground, 18 gauge would be fine.

Awesome, thank you.

How difficult is it to actually get the wires from the mounts, into the engine bay and then through the firewall and concealed behind the dash?

I ran 10 gauge power wire from the battery to the relay and from the relay to the lights. 10 gauge wire for the grounds and went direct to my battery. As for all the accessory wires I used 12 gauge wires. I actually installed high performance stereo battery terminals that allowed me to use set screws to hold the wires. The switch is a 30 amp led toggle switch. I used a dremel to drill and file the stock button delete to fit the switch. There is more than enough room for running the wires and its quite easy to run the wires through the firewall via the wall plug next to the steering shaft.

Cool. Awesome, thank you guys! I really appreciate it. I'm gonna go to a local RadioShack I use to work at and price out all the stuff I need and compare that to buying a pre made kit from kc off amazon.
