No Crank '06 wrangler

i just replaced my starter on my 06 jeep wrangler is still not starting. i removed the harness(yellow wire with grey stripe) from the solenoid and ran a wire straight from that post on the solenoid to the positive side of the battery and the jeep started right up. i then removed the 'faulty' harness on the solenoid wire and attached it directly to the solenoid and it is back the way it originally was. any ideas on what to do next? does anyone know where that wire leads? i have tried to track it down but it is next to impossible and i am getting a little worn out searching for another dead end. thank you in advance.

it was the ignition switch actuator pin, if anyone reads this thread try it before you replace your starter. it only costs $25 vs the $125 and headache of changing the starter.

THANK YOU DIGGER84!!!!!!
