P0344 Code

Hi All, I did the OPDA replacement about a month ago using the aftermarket Dorman version, took a little dialing in as the Po116 code popped up a few times. I noticed it running a bit rough before all this so I figured the plugs I had just put in also were not what she liked. So today I had her out and ran all over then the P0344 code came on. So I replaced the plugs with some NGK's that were in there, checked the gaps of course and buttoned her up and ran her about 10 miles then the code popped up. Has anyone ever heard of the CPS failing on a new unit? The gears on the old OPDA and the cam gear looked actually really good I even kept the old OPDA as a backup if I ever need it.
Thanks for any help!!

I know this thread is a little old, but this issue describes what I'm seeing to a T. And the more I search, the more threads I find left open ended. Can anyone help with this?

I can unplug the battery to reset the code, and it'll clear for a bit, but then it will come back after a couple miles. I'm not a mechanic by any means, but am fully capable of doing the work with a little help (pics and videos are my best friend ). Anyway, I'd greatly appreciate any help with this.

Have a Rice Day!
