Question about tj intake

Hey guys so I'm putting on the my genright high rise fenders. So my problem is the stock air box can't be re used so I'm got to make my own. I was going to cut the intake tube and stick on a cone filter until I get my snorkel. But I don't have a inlet for the ccv vacuum hose as it goes to the air box.. Could I just put a air breather filter on it till I get a snorkel or is this a bad idea?

I removed my stock intake box and installed an Airaid cone filter I drilled a hole in the stock intake tube threaded a brass fitting into it the fitting had a barbed fitting onto which i pushed the rubber hose coming from the crankcase after shortening it
