Rear seat subwoofer

Has anyone put a sub IN the rear seat

I haven't (yet). Several threads about it and if you don't feel like building a box there is a seller on Ebay for them.

Yes, flip it over and do some measuring, not too hard. You have to be willing to cut some foam padding and metal supports out.
Totally worth it

Doesn't the measurements have to be a certain demension

Yes, depends on the sub you are using. If you don't have one yet, look for a shallow mount, it'll make it easier to fit in.

I just put in a Pyle Low Profile Sub and a 4" deep box and strapped it to the back seat. The volume of the box is too small but it hits pretty good.

I have a fusion slimline woofer under the rear seat, attached to the floor. This works great and is not effected by the seat, or by having the seat folded forward.
