You will want to look at lift instructions for a 2" body lift.

Here is a list of the parts you would buy for the body lift:
http://www.amazon.com/Performance-Ac...art/B000J3ABB6

Here is a thread with good input from Jerry regarding the installation tips on a 2" body lift. Jerry didn't recommend 2" body lifts:
https://www.wranglerforum.com/f282/2-...ft-124005.html

IMO, It looks like more trouble than it is worth to remove the body lift.

How ever many bushings, is how ever many bolts. I believe there is 11. 5 on each side and one in the front. there are some on the cross member by the fuel tank which i kind of struggled with. starting from the front. By the grill there is one single one. By the rockers, there are three. There is one on the cross member by the gas tank, and one in the rear corner. This is all for one side. Its symmetrical for the other. You also have the shifter linkage which is a PITA. Its on the drivers side under the skid plate. Do that first so you dont brake the transfer case shifter. May i suggest the Daystar 1 inch poly body lift. It doesnt have that obnoxious height. A lot of people use it because it is very simple and no rubber equals no deterioration. If you want to eventually run a tummy tuck, your going to need it. Like people have said, follow the directions to add a body lift. Its the same thing but in reverse.

There are also 2 press-in bumpers in the lower corners of the grill. Might also have taller engine mounts.

There could be. Usually 2 inch body lifts that are cheap dont come with those. Its possible they did.

Something else to be aware of.
Does you jeep have a tummy tuck?
If it does you will need to remove it also when restoring to stock.

As mentioned above you probably will need stock motor mounts.

You need to watch the gas tank fill tube.

Probably your trans shifter will need adjusting.

Watch your exhaust pipe where it runs alongside your transmission.

Good luck. It's a wise move. Two inches is way to high.

Another posibility. When I added a 2 inch body lift to my pickup truck, I had to extend the steering linkage. Idk about jeeps, but you might have to worry about that. My 1 inch lift didn't have that but one inch isn't much. You may or may not have it.

Also gotta put your radiator back to stock position.
My opinion is a body lift is great if for nothing else, but keeping things clean underneath, ( preventing rust) and it make it soooo much easier to work on. Was gonna ditch mine too but decided i was better off in the long run keeping it .
