Remove Fuel Rail - 2000 Wrangler 4.0L

Just bought this Jeep. P0304 OBDII code. And P0204 also from the mis-firing. A P194 LED on the end of the injector plug #4 shows good pulsing ground from the ECU. Found solenoid winding 92 ohms on injector 4 where the other 5 read 12 ohms. Bought 6 4-hole injectors from Amazon.

So, got the fuel line disco'd, all fuel rail bolts out, yanked the rail so all injectors pulled away from the engine and there's this wiring harness over the top of the fuel rail center-right in the attached photo. It's in the way of fuel rail removal. Pulling the two electrical connections to the throttle-body housing probably still won't give me enough room. It looks like this is not the stock wiring harness for this Jeep.

Any suggestions on getting the fuel rail off ? Is it possible to pry the electrical harness cover (the thin black thing above the fuel rail) off and flip it up and over without breaking it ? It's all plastic.

Thanks !

Sorry I didnt see this. That's exactly what I did when I was changing my valve cover gasket...even used the same bar! I thought the cover was hanging up under it but turned out it wasn't. But I only got it to move up an inch or so like you did. Fear of breaking it was setting in
