Rogue connector

While exploring under the hood of my new purchased TJ I found this rogue connector by the driver side fire wall, Any clues as what it might be or should be used for?? Thanks guys

Most likely for the optional cruise control. Most wrangler will have open connectors available unless it has every possible option installed.

Looks like it goes to this. Not sure exactly what it does. Maybe someone can chime in with some info.

That last pic is an Evap purge valve but I agree with prior post plug where a cruise control servo would attach

^^^yep, and in this case, number of wires, and wire colors would also help to answer your question.
