So I took my top off today and drove around today ( just on the road) when I got back I noticed both of my pins where GONE! Can you buy replacement pins?

I'm not sure what pins you are missing, but if you call Bestop and talk to them they will most likely send you what ever it is you are missing for free.
I've had good luck with calling them direct, people who have emailed them usually have not so good results for some reason.

I have no pins like that. I have never seen pins like that. I cannot even tell where those are, to be honest. Is that at the top of the door surrounds?

The Smittybilt frame must be very different from stock/Bestop...

Who did you call?

Dealer = Jeep dealership?
or
Dealer = Smittybilt vendor?

She said it is a Smittybilt top and not stock. Are the pins stock/Bestop? The dealer cannot get Smittybilt stuff. My point being, are these Smittybilt parts of OEM, Bestop-made parts?

The prices will be staggeringly different if it is a Smittybilt part.

She has a Smittybilt top, though. Does the top sold by Smittybilt use the same surrounds and pins? It seems like those would be Smittybilt parts, unless the surrounds are stock. And no one has yet answered that question, here...

What are those clips for, anyway?

I think they are 3/16 by 3/4" long. Just go to Home Depot or wherever and get a replacement. Won't be black but you can paint it. I had to do the same thing yesterday because I broke mine taking my top off.... If the hole doesn't go all the way through on your bracket just drill it through all the way and put your new one in. They are less than a $1

They look like stock surrounds. That clip is for the sunrider feature on some tops.

Check out Amazon too. There is a ton of choices with black handles. Type in "quick release pins"

Yah just measure your bracket width to confirm which length and whatever diameter you need.Might still need to drill out both ends of the bracket so it goes all the way through.

Ahhhh... I have never seen a sunrider top from the factory, or even on a TJ. That is why that part looks so weird. So the Smittybilt is only the fabric of the top that you install over OEM hardware, then? Or is it a top/frame that just reuses the factory surrounds?

Not as hard to get as I thought it would be

if it's a Bestop with Bestop door surrounds they have them. It's called a plunger block. They are $20.00 for the pair. I just ordered them. 800-845-3567
