soft top question

There is a fabric strap on both sides between the bow at the back window that goes to the bow above the front seats. The one on the drivers side has tore through where the pop rivets hold it to the bow above the drivers seat. Is this something to worry about or keep on keeping on? Any help is greatly appreciated!
