Spicer or ... Carrier bearings

Hello all,

My googlefoo isn't up to par today. I've attempted the search engine here and Google and can't find my answer.

I'm hoping someone here can provide me with the Spicer part number for a dana 44 carrier bearing. I don't want to buy the "master install kit" as I only need the two bearings and races.

Please help.....

Thanks,
Woody

Timken is preferred. Depending on the mileage, you might be better off replacing all the bearings supplied in a master install kit. There has been metal particles floating around in there and they could have caused wear to the pinion bearings.

Funny enough I just had the rear rebuilt about 2,000 miles ago and now I'm changing to a different locker.

What part number for Timken?

For Timken, are the numbers: 25523 for the race and 25590 for the bearing?

What locker? You should probably check that the locker doesn't require different bearings. ARB, for example, doesn't use stock size bearings.

It's a detroit SL. I think detroit uses the stock size.

I would go for a partial rebuild kit that would have the carrier bearings and shims since you might need shims to adjust backlash.

Ok, for future info for those who may be wondering, the part numbers for the Timken carrier bearings on a Dana 44 30 spline are: 25590. The Race part number is: 25523
