Sway Bar Link

I have a 2002 Jeep Wrangler and it has a lift kit on it. I have also replaced 4-5 sway bar links in the last 5 years. Is this normal or should I be looking at something that may be causing this?

Im not a pro but I had the same issue when I lifted mine. My guess it adds more stress on the links. I replaced them with JKS quick discos and havent had an issue since.

Edit: Here is a link I came accross that they are on sale for $112 plus free shipping for a limited time.

The stock ones will usually fail because of the change of the sway bar angle. Replace them with some longer ones or even better, some disconnects.

Most of these say they are for larger lifts. 2.5 to 6 inch. Do they make them or will they even be needed for a 2 inch lift? Thanks

x2...get some discos and you will not have anymore problems. However, if you go with the Gen 2 (Rubicon Express) I suggest you buy extra snap rings. You can get them cheap at NAPA. If you go off-road and forget to disconnect the sway bar, sometimes the rings pop out on the trail and you lose them.

JKS Manufacturing 2000 - JKS Manufacturing Quicker Disconnects™ for 84-06 Jeep« Cherokee XJ, Comanche MJ, Grand Cherokee ZJ, Wrangler TJ & Unlimited with 0-4" Lift - Quadratec

For 0 to 2" lift. I have them on my TJ (2" OME lift) and they are perfect.
They also have them for the bigger lifts, of course. They are really easy to use.
