Tailgate hinges removal

Need some advice....

What's the best way to remove the torx bolts that hold the tailgate hinges to tub/body.

I've broke 2 torx bits already

Using an impact gun? Or a manual impact driver? Could heat it up.

Finally making it back to the garage, heat nor impact seem to be making a difference

Tried to heat up 1 bolt for almost an hour
I finally got fed up and drilled the bolt heads out on the tailgate. Probably took me 10 minutes total.

Tailgate is off. Hinges are ugly but "0" sag

Not going to try to remove hinges from body. I'll reuse them even though they are pitted, chipped and oxidized.

Now I need to prep my vented tailgate and get it installed.

Well I finally got around to mounting my vented tailgate. Opens and closes as it should. I left the stock hinges mounted to the body.
So, no more whistling as I go down the road with my hardtop on and heat on full.

I'm going without the spare too
I like the look. And I like being able to see right out the back and not be blocked by 3rd brake light and the spare.

I am adding a 3rd brake light though.
