Ticking noise in rear of jeep

So about 1 in 4 starts on a cold engine I hear a light ticking noise coming from the rear of the jeep. Can't pinpoint it. It goes away after about 30 seconds. Any ideas?

My muffler rattles like crazy sometimes. Makes it sound like ticking.

It is the Evap canister leak detection pump, in 2003-later it was relocated in the right rear corner fender well.

Ok so dumb question as I'm just getting into this game. Leave it or what needs to be replaced?

Let it go, if it was a problem it would throw a code when it was trying to do the leak detection.

Do you still have the carpeting in the rear? Some people remove their carpet back there and it might make the noise more noticeable. Since the carpet can act like a noise dampener.

It is behind the rubber cover in the wheel well.
But mine ticks also right after starting for short time, so unless your getting a code, i wouldn't worry too much.......
Unless the ticking is in tandem with a count down on your Odometer display, then might want to exit the jeep before it blows up!!
Just kidding on the last part.
