Tire clearance on my TJ?

Hey guys, I am putting on a 2.5 inch suspension lift on my TJ , how wide of a tire could I Put on it without it rubbing against anything when turning?

12 inch wide to big?

Depends on what wheels you have. To go any wider than a 10.5" tire you will have to put on different wheels or add wheel spacers. The backspace on stock rims is 5 to 5.5" and for a 12.5" tire you need less backspace, 4" or less.

Need wheels with less backspacing. like said above, if your running stock rims don't go any larger than 10.5 You can get some steal rims for $40 a piece and then put on your 12" if you want.
