I have a 2000 TJ sport with the 15 inch stock rims. Id like to put bigger tires on my jeep and give it a more natural lifted and meaner look. Can someone please help me with suggestions as to doing so. Should i be looking for bigger rims and tires, or just thicker tires. Please help!!!!!

Welcome to the forum.

15x8 alloy rims with 31x10.5x15 tires should get you where you want to be

Welcome to the forum. 31s will fit with no mods. When I bought my 00 a little over 4 years ago, the previous owner had just installed a 2" budget boost (coil spring spacers) and 32x11.50 BFG ATs on the stock 8" Canyon wheels. It looked, drove and wheeled nice and we left it that way for several years. I have moved on to 33x10.50s now and have added a 1.25 body lift to it, but we have 32s on my son's 97 and like it very much.

TJ's came stock with either 15 x 7", or 15 x 8" rims (depending on the trim package). You could successfully run 31 x 10.50 tires on either one with no issues. You may have to add a washer or two to your steering stops if the tires rub a little at full lock, but it's easy to do and takes about 5 minutes.

Can I switch the 15 stocks for 16 inch rims and run 225 75 r 16 without having to modify my current stock height/wheel space?

whats the back spacing of the new rim?

you can go to a 16" but the cost goes up and tire selection goes down.

rubis came stock with a 16" rim and 245/75r16 MTR's
