Trans belt adjustment.

I changed the trans oil or mud I should say and adjusted the bands. I still detact a slight slippage yet going from 2nd to 3rd..{front Band}..I torqued it to 74" pounds and backed off 2 1/4 turns. Im wondering after 170thou miles the band might be stretched a little. Im thinking about going under there and turning the shaft IN 1/4 turn for a total of two turns out and see what happens.. Any input on this would help greatly..thx

If it's stretched your adjustment would have accounted for that. It is likely worn out and not enough friction material left on it to stop the forward clutch effectively.
