Trans noise/rattle when clutch pedal released

Iíve got a NSG370 6 speed manual transmission in my 05 TJ. After replacing the flywheel, clutch and pressure plate, pilot bearing and throw out bearing, I still have the rattling sound when the clutch pedal is released. When Iím idling in neutral and let the clutch out you can hear it pretty well, and as soon as I press in the clutch pedal the noise stops. My guess is the throw out bearing is rattling on the teeth of the pressure plate, but all parts are new. Any ideas? I really hate to pull the transmission againÖ so I hope to learn of the fix so I only do it once. Thanks

I also have noise when idling in neutral. For me it only happens after some driving. Once oil is warm I head rattle when clutch is depressed. From what I have read this is normal, thicker oil in gear box seems to help.

When you replaced the clutch, did you install the clutch return spring that clips over the throw out bearing release arm on the pivot ball end? And if so, was it in good condition, or all rusty?

The clips were broken and the clutch fork was just rattling around when released. I installed a new throw out bearing and clipped it into place, now all back together and no more noise! YAY! Thanks for the heads up.
