Transfer case linkage

So I'm fed up with my 99 stock transfer case linkage. It pops out of 4WD and I haven't been able to get it mounted securely to the tub...the rubber grommets just will not stay tight and it rattles like a SOB. I'm concerned it's going to pop off on the trail since only 2 of the 4 bolts seem to be holding it in place.

I've been looking at the Novak linkage assemblies and am not sure I should go with the cable model or the builders kit. Would love to hear the feedback.

Details are as follows:
- 99 4.0
- NV 231 t-case
- 2" suspension and 1.25" body lifts

Thanks!

I have the Novak cables on my 06 LJ 1"BL, 1" ML & 4" RC long arm. Shifts like a dream and stays in gear.

I hear the Novak Cable Shifter is a great part. I personally use the AA T-case Adapter that more the side of the linkage that currently attaches to the tub, to this bracket that mount on the case itself. It has worked flawlessly for me for years now. Just another option!

I use the savvy cable shifter, essentially the same design as the Novak. But lifetime warranty and slightly cheaper than the Novak.. In my case at least.
