want to swap from u joint to cv joints

is it possible to swap my 05 tj's front axle u joints to cv axles from a cherokee

Yes, front driveshaft has cv joints. Not front axle. My bad.

I didn't know front axles on Cherokees had cv joints? If they are dana 30s then I'd imagine there should be some way to make it work. I'm not sure there would be any real reason to try though? As far as I know the dana 30 in tj's is a more than capable axle that can run large tires as it sits now. What would be the reason to change to cv joints?

I have a HPD30 out of a Cherokee sitting in my back yard right now.

The axle shafts definitely have standard U-joints just like the TJ.

yes the axle shafts with cv pods will interchange between Xj and TJ .

Might I ask why you would want to change them?
