Wheel Size Help

I just purchased a set of BFGoodrich All terrain Ko2's for my 2000 tj stock rims. I'm now second guessing my decision and would like to know if anyone has mounted a 33x10.5x15 wheel on a stock tj rim (9.5x15) Will the extra inch of tire width be an issue or will they have no problem putting them on my rim?

Thanks!

Stock wheels are likely 8" wide. They will be fine with 10.5" wide tires. Most of us run 12.5" wide tires on 8" wide wheels.

You will likely experience slight rubbing at full steering lock. Add a couple washers behind the steering stops to remedy the issue.

I'm pretty sure they don't make 15x9.5" stock rims.

Skip to post # 10 on this: https://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/s...1/#post4121478 to find out what size your rims are.

You can run a 12.5"-wide tire on a 7"-wide rim, so running a 10.5"-wide tire will work for sure.

You're right. I just took the 9.5 off of the tire that's on it so the wheel is probably 8" Thank you though! This makes me feel much better!

Yup. 35x12.50" tire on 7" wide wheel. Wheel spacers needed.
