Which spark plug?

Planning to get some new spark plugs but off of the autozone list, which one would be the best one?

Assuming they're for the 97 2.5L engine in your signature, the Autolite AP985 or Champion 3034 would be great choices. Both are platinum tipped and will perform very well for 100k miles.

Problem is, I'm trying to find some from Autozone. Don't really have the time to order online. Autozone has neither.

Yep, it's the one in my sig.

Do they have Autolite 985. It is the Autolite equivalent to the factory Champion copper core plug.

Also, not sure if you are near a Walmart but the Walmart stores around here do stock the AP985 Autolite single platinum in 2 packs.

You in Dahlonega? The first one that came up said AP985 in the specs and said in stock. Might be your lucky day.

Nope, Michigan. But it says model number 20985 so this must be the one. And it's in stock close to me.

I don't see a model # anywhere in that link. Must be because I'm on my Android. If it is the AP985, go for it.

And don't you have any other auto parts stores around besides AutoZone? I feel like my IQ drops a few points every time I have to fend off their constant attempts to push stuff on me I don't want or need.

I guess Dahlonega is where my computer is showing my location all though I'm probably at least 300 miles from there. Anyway, I looked again and did see the 20985 number you referenced but then a few lines down under SPECIFICATIONS, after the model number, it says AP985. Good luck with it. This is what I run in both of our 4.0s and have been very pleased.

Nope. o'reilly's but that's 40 minutes away. It's annoying when they try to push stuff on you like Lucas gas treatment but eh, take the less of the two evils I guess.

My 06TJ had autolights in it when I bought it used.

I immediantly changed the plugs because I wasn't sure about age???

I went with NGK 's because that's what the sticker under yhe hood suggested.

The autolights looked alright when removed, but the new NGK's provide a better, smoother idle and perhaps better mpg.
