Wont Start Round 2

OK, I had a fairly successful response a few months back to a problem with my engine not starting and it was solved by a relay that I should've seen at the start. This time, its a bit harder to figure out... here are the facts...

FYI - 98 TJ 4.0L Manual 110k miles

-Engine shut off randomly about ten minutes after refueling.
-Engine will not turn over.
-It will turn over with starter fluid in the intake and run for a few seconds.
-Fuel is being pumped and will fill up a bottle 1/4 way on initial prime on the engine end of the line.
-New CPS was installed today to try to fix the issue... no change.
-All the relays were replaced just because it was cheap.
-The gas gauge is not showing fuel, there is 10 gallons in the tan.
-Im losing my mind.

I know the connection between the cps and whatever it connects to on the computer side is a possible error but I will not hard wire those until last resort.... Could it be a wire issue??

I cant stand having the same problem twice and not being able to fix it with all i learned last time... but who knows... thanks in advance for the help!!

Had an itch for another Jeep, so I scratched it... now Im infected

I had the same issue with an 86 f-150 5.0 auto fuel inj. engine. No start, then would start with carb cleaner and run until spray ran out. Thought it was fuel pump, pressure regulator. It wasn't. Changed the Engine contol module, 105 dollars @ auto zone. and the problem was gone for good. I replaced spark plugs, fuel pressure regulator, front fuel pump(it had two) and the other f.i. sensors, learned the hard way. Hope this helps..
