95 YJ instrument panel lighting question

Does anyone know if the 95's were equipped with a bulb and socket for the area just above the Toggle switch panel? It has a little oblong cover attached to the dash trim, but i cannot find the socket or any wire that is out of place.

TIA

Does it use the same base as a #194? There are no bases or extra wires. BUT the PO has done some things in the dash like cutting heater control wiring to wire in an aftermarket A/C and added light bar and cut into some wiring. I can add this to the instrument panel wiring.

Well it is the flat glass wedge type bulb but the base it plugs into is different. It is small cylindrical and black and i think it just slides into the metal bracket on the plastic dash bezel. There is no twist lock type base like on the front turn signals that use a 194 base.

I looked up a photo of YJ dash wiring to see if i could find the socket and im 99% sure this is it. And if it's not it, it looks exactly like it anyways. I circled it in red

Thanks everyone. The socket on the bezel is still attached. Now that i know what the plug looks like, i will dig deeper. I was looking for the normal socket. That looks like a fused link half, i must have missed it.

Update to follow.

Found it! Had to take all the trim off, drop the A/C unit, then finally took out the speedo and found it tucked up on top of the steering column. Has power. Now to find the bulb.

Thanks again. I would have never found it.

It's called OCD. I've spent way more time on more inane things. A few hours just to get something working that should have been working right along is a victory.

Good Luck, L.M.

Yes. It lights up my acc switches. And LM, you are right, the little victories just makes your heart flutter. Haha

I can relate because I’m OCD too! I’m not happy or relaxed until everything is as it should be and working properly. That was one of the bulbs I replaced when sorting out my dash wiring from PO’s hackery.
