new fuel filter

I'm trying to replace my fuel filter, due to the rubber 90 (5/16x 3/8) fuel line leaking. my idea is to find a fuel filter with a 5/16 inlet and outlet and just use a piece of 5/16 fuel injection hose. do any of you, see this as a problem? looking for a 20 micron filter about the same size as original.

I looked for one and i couldn't find one but i may have just been looking in the wrong places. I replaced the 5/16" hard line between the tank and filter with stainless 3/8" and use off the shelf 3/8" fuel injection hose.

I should add that it fixes the proprietary 3/8 to 5/16 line coming directly off the fuel tank sending unit. That special hose alone is $80 last i checked might be cheaper now days though not sure... So stupid the way Jeep designed that section of fuel line it makes no damn sense.

That hose, PN 53004014, is $19-$27 virtually everywhere, depending on free shipping or not.

PROBLEM rubber hose (cost to my house $29.00.)( nope) solution 1994 honda passport fuel filter Wix filter # 33310 5/16 inlet 5/16 outlet flow rates are the same, pressure rating the same. Smallest Particle Filtered: 50 microns per "Summit Racing" about 1/2" shorter (perfect for 5/16 hose to be connected without kinking) a little smaller in diameter rubber shim solves this problem.PROBLEM SOLVED!

I wasn't going to pay for the stock elbow. I used the stock filter with fuel enough fuel injection hose to not kink.

For my dad's 91, I just bent a 90 and barbed some hard line to prevent kinks.
