Seriously, there is a sleeve type drain under your hood. When it gets clogged up it backs up and the rain water will come right down on top of your foot. Find that drain and cut the bottom open to get the stuff out of it and no more problem. Been a few years now otherwise I would give a better description.
The sleeve crafty is referring to is located on the firewall on the passanger side of the motor. It is black and made of rubber. The bottom of it tapers down and sinches shut. Simply reach in, squeeze the bottom, the water will drain out. Mine had mud and leaves in it. Cutting the bottom off should stop having to worry about it plugging back up, but I live in CA and rain is illeagle here.
i pour hot water down mine to "melt" the crap that builds up. cutting a piece of window screen to fit under the intake grill helps keep larger stuff out.
