YJ engine bay splash shields.

I am in the process of cleaning up the hood, fenders and engine bay of my YJ. I would like to buy new splash guards as some where missing when I bought the Jeep. I have looked on line but cannot find a source. I have tried cleaning what is left but I am not satisfied with the result. The rubber is old and cracked. I am not opposed to making them but would prefer new ones. Any ideas?

Id suggest making your own. I am in the same boat. The one under there looks like crap, and is barely held up. Trying to figure out what to make a new one out of. Stopping in town today to look. I will let you know if I see anything good.

You should be able to buy sheet rubber locally and then you could actually make it thicker or to your specifications. It shouldn't be difficult. I haven't found a source for OEM replacements either.

Take care,
Check "YJ V6 Conversion Swap" if you want to see my "frame up" restoration that anyone can do.

Check "WWII Willy's restoration and usage..." if you want to see THE ORIGINAL JEEP IN ACTION.
