Wildlife Encounters!

Have you ever encountered wildlife while out on the trail? Did you get pictures of it? I decided to create a thread where we can share our wildlife encounter pictures.
I will start it off with what I encountered yesterday on some local AZ trails. It was a beautiful day and we came across 2 different rattlesnakes during our adventure.

A late run last year.

Not my picture, but a photographer who was with us that day. Captures it better than my cell.

While doing some fieldwork in the Burgess Shale of Canada, this guy decided to hop on the car and stare me down. He wouldn't leave and kept squawking at me, so I affectionately dubbed him "Little Bastard!"

I was in central New Mexico last week when this guy walked out in front of me; scared the $#!% out of both us. I managed to swing around and get a couple photos of him out in the desert.

Elk on the side of the mountain in Lake City on the way up to Engineer Pass. The picture doesn't do credit to the Elk really. It was a almost straight up hill climb to where they were.

FROM ALASKA last year.

COW and calf moose as I came up on them in my vehicle in Denali.
She was NOT happy to see me.

I was on foot on a gravel bar next to a river whenThe bear saw me from about 400yds away and got curious. He came exploring trying to get my scent because of the brush he had no idea what I was.
I took the pic at about 75 feet when he finally picked up my scent.
