CJ5 Seats

I have a 1981 cj5. I am a large man and am looking to replace the current aftermarket seats on it due to wear. What is the best seat that will give me added room between the steering wheel and rear wheel well. Current ones just can't go back far enough.

There are a few options, cheapest being the poly seats like those used in buggys/stock cars etc. they don't have much for padding but the covers can be replaced when worn. More expensive but something I hope to get someday are the suspension seat made by Corbeau or Mastercraft both offer standard and wider seats. I don't know how your seats are mounted but our 74 we went with aftermarket seats and modified the factory mounts which let me move them back to less than an inch between the seat and the wheel well.
