Easier to swap a Chevy 350 into CJ that has V8 mounts

Not really sure what I'm going to do, but I'm curious as to if it is less work to swap a 350 Chevy engine into a CJ5 (or any CJ) that already had a V8 in it (opposed to a CJ5 with a 6cyl)? Can the motor mounts stay in the same place and fit the engine?

No, the amc 304 and 360 have a far different motor mount option than the SBC's and even later dodge v8's. You'd be cutting and welding mounts for any v8 swap other than what engine came in the jeep.

Yes but it would be So Cool with a 401 that will go where a 304 came from.
