Engine swap

Can somebody please help me, I’m trying to put a 4.0 off of a 89 Cherokee into my 79 cj7 but i haven’t been able to find the motor mounts, which ones did you guys used when you did ur swap

If your CJ-7 had a 4.2l in it from the factory, than the motor mounts should be the same. The Jeep 4.2 & 4.0 use the same block which is why it's such an easy swap.

If your CJ did not have a 4.2l in it from the factory than you're going to have to cut off the existing motor mounts (probably for a V8 if not the I6) and weld on some 4.0l mounts.
