Cj2a?

Just fell into my yard, guy said its a 2A. Body does match pics. Only plate I have found is attached to pass side panel and has been painted over, I can barely make out "Willys Overland Motors Toledo Ohio" under "one quarter ton four wheel drive".
Anyone can tell me where to look for more info?
Since it didn't cost me a cent, well.... It'll probably get a slow build. But first I need to know what I'm getting into!
Thanks in advance
Oh yeah, pic to follow.

Not a CJ2A, from windshield I've found it to be a CJ3A.
Still researching

Figured it out

CJ3A, I'm putting it in storage till next year while I finish the YJ.
I thought the engine was seized, not so.

Yep, that's a CJ3A from what I can see

Sorry I didn't see your post before. Just so you can make sure the Jeep you have is 100% 3A and not partially 2A here is a good guide I found: CJ2A and CJ3A differences

Everything matches what you sent, 3A it is.
A lot of welded on pieces I'll cut off this year ( tow hitch, trailer hitch, what looks like a snow plow hitch, roll bar) but overall not bad.

If it comes out as nice as the YJ you're in for a whole bunch of compliments on that one too.

Good Luck, L.M.

Talking

Sorry about being so long getting back....

LM-thanks, going as origional as I can on the 3A.

Hauled the YJ out to N.C. over the last 2 weeks, Mrs Acme and I are going out there to lend a little moral and family aid to our daughters while they go back to Grad school. Mostly watching the grandkids for them.

When did they move Bragg closer to the sun? Damn it's hot back there, more than I remember. The YJ has been a hit all over, meeting a few Jeepers and getting set for some beach driving on the Outer Banks.
We re back in Wy now and will spend the next 8 months in NC.
Lost the soft top in the haul, need some new sun protection....SOON!
