33 bfg

Ok so I have a guy that I kinda know that has a set of 33x12.50x15 BFG A/T on a set of 15x10 rims there the like regular black not sure if there steel or aluminum but i think there the D spoke wheels not tryin to impress anyone with them but the tire have about 50% tread and he is wanting $200 for all four tires and wheels. Im pretty sure this is a good deal but need some input I currently have 31x10.50 pro comp on 15x8 aluminum polished pacer wheels so they would be set aside for back up's but i have also heard from my uncle which is a mechanic on a marine base in NC that the BFG's people can not keep them balanced? so.......

I run 31 bfg's and have for 3 sets of tires never had issue with balance or keeping balance. If your rig not lifted don't think those tire/ wheels will fit? Check around or ask that question as well- if I missed that part, sorry. (can't tell for sure from pic)
To me that seems real cheap I wouldn't hesitate at all for those. I got a corner in my garage for that same thing when I run across that deal around here-the wheels gotta be worth the 200.

They'll fit stock if he stays on road and doesn't turn too hard, and is careful over speedbumps and pot holes... I wouldn't do it for long (I did it for 2 weeks) before lifting it...

I ran a set of 32X11.50R15 for 40K miles and never had a problem with them balancing. I actually just bought my second set and am still extremly happy with them.

My tires are 33x12.50x15. Front 2 have been on for about 5 or 6 years( little use until I got it ) and the back 2 are about 4 months old. Haven't had a problem with either.

$200.00 seems like a good deal even if the wheels are steel. It's hard to say if they'll stay balanced or not though, that's a risk you take with buying used. If the vehicle they came off had any suspension or alignment problems the tires could have some wear pattern in them that could make balancing difficult. I'd recommend checking the DOT #'s on the tires. The manufacturing year and week will be listed on them. If they are older than 6 years I wouldn't bother with them. We won't sell any tire that is older than 4 years even if it has never been driven on.
