33’s or 35’s?! Need help.

I’m new to the off-roading world. I have a 2011 Wrangler Sport Unlimited. I recently purchased a 3.5” lift. Before installing, I’m waiting to get tires so I can do it all at once. I was wanting 35’s, but I was told I’d have to regear? Then I was told that I’d be fine. It’s been back and forth. Which is it? Would I be better to go with 33’s or 35’s? I currently have 3.73 gears.

Ha!! Well... this is my daily driver and I don’t want to go up the side of a mountain with it. But I would like to do some smaller trails. I just don’t want to ruin my Jeep by putting the “wrong” things on it. I don’t want to tear up the gears if that’s what 35’s are gonna do.

Get the 35's, yes you will lose some power but not that much. You might need a calibrator to adjust your shifting points and the speedometer.

33s will look too small with a 3.5” lift

Get the 35s, I got 295x70R17's (which is like a 33.5) on my 2.5 teraflex lift and I regret not going with the 35's.

BTW hit up Discountedwheelwarehouse.com first and run prices by them, they were the cheapest place I was able to find for tires and then I got the tires price matched at 4WP(they were within 5 dollars a tire).

Just put Fuel 20 x 10s and Trail Grappler 35 x 12.50 x 20 on my 2016 JK Rubicon with a 2.5" lift.

I test fit 20 X 9s with 35 x 11.50 x 20 and they did not stick out far enough with my fenders.

Probably look good with stock fenders.

Anyway I will post a picture shortly.
