Lightbulb 33" tires on my TJ

All,

I recently picked up a stock TJ that came with standard street tires on it. The stock tires look really skinny and may not help much when I take her off-road.

I am planning to upgrade the tires on my TJ and probably get the Teraflex 2" Budget boost to give the Jeep some lift and a good look. I want to know if it's possible to go with 33" tires with this kind of setup. I am planning to use the stock 15" rim with the tires.

Also with 33" will I need to re-gear?

Thanks

Jacob

Minimum 3" SL for 33's and a 3"SL with a 1"BL is ideal for 33's on a TJ. If you plan on 33/12.50/15's you will want a 15x8 wheel with 3.75" of BS.

the gearing depends on what is in there now, I believe the 6's have the 3.7 and the rubicons and 4 cyl had 4.10 gear ratio or close to it. 4.10 would probably be ideal but Im sure it would work.

Im not sure. You want a 8" wide rim for a 12.5 tire
