Question 33" Wheel combo specs?

I may take advantage of the Sears Black Friday deal tomorrow -- $100 Sears Reward card + 6 month no interest financing.

From the research I've done, I would want:

Rims: 16 X 8 with 4.5" backspacing
Tires: Duratrac 285 X 75 X 16

I have a stock 2012 JKU. My goal is to have minimal rub problems and try to avoid a lift if possible.

Do these specs look right? If not, what would you suggest changing?

Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving!!

I just put 33" x 10.5 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my stock 2011 JK. I have not had ANY rub yet, but I have not taken her off road or flexd her at all yet. I have these mounted on 20" rims. I called my dealership service manager before I put these on and he said they should be fine but may get slight rub on trail. He also said that a 2" budget boost wouldn't void my warranty.

....hope this helps!

Thanks for the info! I picked up the tires and ordered the rims yesterday using the specs above. I'll have to see how much they rub off road, probably end up replacing my fenders or chopping them.

Just my 2 cents....

The discounts from Sears sound nice, but Discount Tire is still the cheapest I can find after factoring everything in.

Consider that if you order from DTD, the wheels/tires will come pre-assembled, balanced, and inflated. Also, they ship for free to your door. All you have to do is pop 'em on your Jeep.

Compare the price to get the tires to your door, Sears vs. DTD and see what you come up with. Either way, you'll get the Goodyear Rebate and the TL rebate. Also, DTD has $100 off when ordering a set of tire and wheels. AND you'll get a $50 WF discount. Add in the free assembly and shipping and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

DTD doesn't carry the wheels I want -- ATX AX186 Black. I checked the tires -- I paid $1296 for 5 tires. No shipping because I carried them out. The rims were no tax and free shipping. The Goodyear would be $1370, although would get the rebate.

However, the main reason I wanted to get them from Sears is because they were offering 1 year no interest financing + a $50 gift card. I can use the gift card to pay for the mounting/balancing.

I was going to wait until April for my tax refund, but with the no interest financing was able to get them early. If they didn't have the BFG's OR the Duratrac, I would've waited.
