33'S Duratracs

Will 33's fit on a 2.5" lift. I have 32 BFG's now and seem to have plenty of room. Wanting to go to goodyear duratracs now and want a little bigger and wider tire. Right now I am running 32 x 10.5 x 15. Thanks for any info.

Yes and no. the 33 duratracs are 12.5in wide I believe so, you may have some back spacing issues. Otherwise you can FIT them, but they aren't gona do alot of good offroad. Your gona have to add at least another inch of bump stop, and thats not just for offroad thats for any driving. your suspension cycles alot more than you think with everyday driving. So your gona lose alot of travel and your gona more than likely have a rougher ride if your going to full bump all the time.

You could run some flat fenders and that would help alot, granted you also have the correct backspacing for your wheels already.

Another good option is to add a small body lift, because you can clear them with no issue then. However you may still need new wheels.

It's all about back-spacing of your wheels. Read up on that and you will see. The 33's are usually an inch and a half wider and will rub with the stock wheels.

As Baytown said. You need to check your back spacing. Basically turn your tire to full lock and look how far it is from your control arms and steering stops. Your gona have at least an inch more tire in that space.

My wheels aren't stock, but not real sure what they are. They are black steel 15's with a red and blue trim line close to outside edge and a chrome cap in the middle.

Type of wheel isn't important because they can come in different backspacing. Look up how to measure backspacing on here.

if you're planning on getting the 33x12.50x15 Duratracs, they really measure 32x11.50x15, I know- I've got them on my jeep, I have DickCepek DC2 15x8" wheels with 3.65" backspacing and a 2.25" BBL kit, they clear everything fine

Here's one of the better diagrams showing wheel backspacing that I've seen:

Measure from the farthest outside part of your rim to the face of the lug mount, and you'll know your bs.

Your jeep looks a lot like mine. Same color, but my bezels are black and solid black wheels. Looks sharp really like the tires.
